Our last post discussed how to create a Facebook page; now we’ll cover how to actually promote your business on social media.
Once your social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others have been created, how do you make the most of them?
First, make sure you’ve taken care of the basics. This includes filling out all of the “About” section on your pages. Providing basic info such as a physical address, phone number, email, website URL, and other social media handles is the easiest thing you can do to help customers contact you. It’s surprising how often businesses overlook this simple yet crucial step.
Also, remember to include your social accounts in your email signature and newsletters. You can also try adding discount codes to your social media posts or experiment with contests and giveaways. If you don’t already have branded hashtags for your business, be sure to create those (which are also useful for linking to your other social media accounts and bios). This is a great way to ensure your posts and promotions show up regularly in your customers’ social media feeds.
