Obsolescence Policy

Sage Software currently offers support for the following products:

  • ACT! 2008 (version 10.x) products including ACT! 2008, ACT! Premium 2008, and ACT! Premium for Web 2008
  • ACT! 2007 (version 9.0) products including ACT! 2007, ACT! Premium for Workgroups 2007, and ACT! Premium for Web 2007
  • ACT! 2006 (version 8.0) products including ACT! 2006, ACT! Premium for Workgroups 2006, and ACT! Premium for Web 2006

ACT! Product Support includes: Getting Started support (see guidelines below), Support Plans, Pay Per Call, Customer Service, and Support claims. NOTE: Support products and availability described here are applicable only in the United States and Canada.

Support for the following version was discontinued on 11/30/07 per the table below:

  • ACT! 2005 (version 7.0)
  • ACT! Premium for Workgroups 2005 (7.0)
  • ACT! Premium for Web 2005 (7.0)

For unsupported products, customers are encouraged to visit the ACT! Knowledgebase to see if answers to your questions are available.

Customers with a support plan and an obsolete product will receive support through the expiration of the existing support plan. However, you will not be able to renew your support contract unless you upgrade to a supported version of ACT!. If you upgrade prior to the expiration of your support plan, your plan will be transferred to the new product and remain valid until the plan expires.

Third-party add-on products are not supported by Sage Software. For details go to www.actsolutions.com. For a complete list of add-on products from Sage Software partners please refer to the specific add-on section.

The following guidelines should be used regarding Getting Started Support:

  • New Customers
    • ACT! 2008, ACT! Premium 2008, ACT! Premium for Web 2008: Includes Getting Started Support for 30 days beginning on the day of product registration.
    • ACT! 2007, ACT! Premium for Workgroups 2007, ACT! Premium for Web 2007: Includes Getting Started Support for 30 days beginning on the day of product registration.
  • Upgrading Customers
    • ACT! 2008, ACT! Premium 2008, ACT! Premium for Web 2008: Includes Getting Started Support for 30 days beginning on the day of product registration.
    • ACT! 2007, ACT! Premium for Workgroups 2007, ACT! Premium for Web 2007: Includes Getting Started Support for 30 days beginning on the day of product registration.
